LESCANO®

Category : Crop Protection Product group : Herbicides

Active Ingredient : 312,5 g/l S-metolachlor + 187,5 g/l Terbuthylazine
Formulation : Suspension Concentrate (SC)

Method of Application

Lescano® is a systemic pre-emergence herbicide for the control of many annual broadleaf and narrow-leaved weeds in maize, sunflower and cotton fields. The active ingredient Terbuthylazine stops photosynthesis in phytosystem II, while the other active ingredient S-metolachlor stops cell division and controls weeds. It is rapidly transported within the plant through leaves, shoots and roots and xylem and phloem conduction bundles and controls weeds in a short time. It can take up to two weeks for all weeds to die. Lescano®, which has two mechanisms of action, has a wide spectrum of action thanks to its immediate effect and residual effect in the soil.
As with all soil-acting herbicides, in order to obtain the expected superior results from  Lescano®, good tillage should be done, the soil should be free of clods, weeds, etc., and there should be sufficient moisture in the soil.

Corn: It is applied as soil spraying after sowing, before the corn and weeds germinate and appear on the surface of the soil (within 5 days after sowing at the latest). Spraying should be done with a low pressure tool and 30-50 litres of water should be used per decare.

Sunflower: The mixture prepared with the recommended dosage should be applied with 30-40 litres of water per decare with low pressure to the sunflower field without clods and slightly moist sunflower field before germination.

Cotton: The mixture prepared with the recommended dosage should be applied with 30-50 litres of medicated water per decare before the cotton and weeds germinate (within 3 days after sowing at the latest) with a low pressure with no clods and slightly moist, with the spraying tool 50 cm above the soil surface.

MIXABILITY STATUS: It is recommended to carry out pre-mix trials before mixing large quantities for application
